Desiree is a highly skilled & accomplished esthetician with over 18 years of experience in the beauty industry. She began her career in upscale medical spas in New York, where she gained extensive knowledge and expertise in a wide range of services. However, her entrepreneurial spirit led her to pursue a degree in business management, allowing her to combine her passion for aesthetics with her love for business.

As the proud owner of The KC Spa—a renowned & highly regarded spa in Platte City—Desiree has been serving the community for over seven years. Her commitment to providing the highest level of service & care is evident in the praise she receives from her clients, & appreciate her meticulous attention to detail & unwavering dedication to meeting their individual needs.

Desiree takes a personalized approach to each service, working closely with clients to understand their unique requirements & desires. Her warm & friendly demeanor creates a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable & at ease throughout their spa experience.

Beyond her professional life, she treasures time spent with her family, especially her amazing husband, Brian, & their two children. Their love & support form the foundation of her happiness & provide her with balance. She is also passionate about health, wellness, & all things related to anti-aging. In her spare time, she enjoys being in nature, gardening, watching movies, & relaxing.

Her dedication to the beauty industry, entrepreneurial mindset, & genuine care for her clients make her a standout esthetician. Through her skills, attention to detail, & warmth, she creates an exceptional experience for every guest at The KC Spa, helping them feel & look their very best.

April leads our team as Spa Director, Nourish Chef, & Laser Technician, bringing over 16 years of invaluable customer service expertise. Known for her professionalism, warmth, creativity, & meticulous attention to detail, April has held a wide range of roles within the spa industry, including hairstylist & spa manager, at establishments throughout Western New York.

Beyond her professional endeavors, April dedicates time to empowering individuals with developmental disabilities through culinary education with a local non-profit organization. Her passion for the beauty & wellness industry is evident in her ability to create serene spa environments, craft nourishing meals, & deliver exceptional service to every guest.

Outside of work, April enjoys experimenting with new recipes, preparing meals for loved ones, taking bike rides, scuba diving, & traveling—her favorite destination being Switzerland.

Tess is a skilled licensed massage therapist at the spa with 15 years of expertise. Tess excels in effective communication & understanding clients' needs during massage sessions. Her passion for the art of massage is evident in her love for meeting new people & creating memorable experiences through her therapeutic touch.

Beyond the spa, Tess is a dedicated mother of two daughters. When not immersed in the world of massage therapy, she channels her energy into learning more about nutrition, actively participating in her kids' school activities, & exploring the joys of travel. Tess is not just a massage therapist; she's a well-rounded individual who finds fulfillment in volunteering, attending concerts, & embracing an overall love for health & wellness.

Tess's commitment to both her professional & personal pursuits makes her a valuable member of our spa team, where she brings expertise, warmth, & a genuine passion for enhancing the well-being of our clients.

Danielle is a licensed massage therapist and a valued member of our spa team. A graduate of the Aveda Institute of Tallahassee in 2018, Danielle specializes in deep tissue, Swedish, & relaxation massages. After visiting Missouri during the Covid pandemic to assist friends with their move, she decided to make the area her home & pursued massage reciprocity to continue her career here.

Beyond her expertise in various massage techniques, Danielle is a dedicated & energetic professional who effortlessly balances two jobs. She values connecting with others, taking time to engage in conversations & get to know her clients personally. Her true passion lies in the transformative power of massage therapy, finding joy in helping people feel good, alleviating their pain, & providing much-needed relief.

Outside of the spa, Danielle enjoys practicing yoga, paddleboarding, reading, painting, exploring hiking trails, & snowboarding. She loves going on outdoor adventures with her dog & enjoys relaxing at home with her cat.

Jessica is a talented Licensed Esthetician at The KC Spa. With a calm & easy-going demeanor, Jessica possesses a genuine love for learning & connecting with people from all walks of life. Her passion for aesthetics shines through in her work, where she specializes in a wide range of services, including custom & advanced facial treatments, gentle & medical-grade peels, all types of waxing including Brazilians, brow & lash tinting, & body treatments.

Outside of the spa, Jessica finds joy in gardening & cherishes moments with her daughter, animals, & music. Her dedication to exceptional customer service & skincare is evident in every session she conducts.

Prior to her career in aesthetics, Jessica's love for music took center stage as a successful singer, songwriter, recording artist, & musician. Now, she seamlessly combines her artistic talents with her passion for skincare, making every visit to The KC Spa a rejuvenating & memorable experience.

Bethany brings over 10 years of experience in massage therapy, helping clients achieve relaxation, pain relief, & overall wellness. Originally from Pennsylvania, her calming touch and personalized approach make every session a rejuvenating experience. Bethany genuinely listens to her clients’ needs & enjoys recommending stretches to support their healing process.

Known for her bubbly personality & honesty, Bethany connects easily with clients, adapting to their unique needs & personalities. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her pets, friends, & family, playing video games, & cheering on her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Always eager to learn, Bethany is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care.

As a Licensed Esthetician, she offers customized facials, Swedish massage, signature body treatments, & expert face & body waxing, providing clients with a beautifully comprehensive approach to skin health & relaxation.

Inspired by her journey as a wife & mother to three daughters, Kalei is driven by a desire to help others feel confident, cared for, & beautifully themselves. She aims to lead by example—showing her girls the power of grace, dedication, & pursuing what lights you up.

In every service she provides, Kalei embodies the elegance, hospitality, & elevated standard of care that define The KC Spa. Her calming energy & thoughtful approach create an atmosphere where guests feel truly seen, supported, & indulged.

Beyond the spa, Kalei enjoys spending time with her family, singing, playing volleyball, & relaxing outdoors. A true Kansas City spirit, she’s also an enthusiastic supporter of the KC Chiefs & Kansas City Royals.

Dr. Kiana Long, a distinguished board-certified family physician, boasts a remarkable career spanning over a decade within the realm of medicine.

In 2008,  she attained her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

In 2011, she completed her residency training at the University of Missouri Kansas City Family Medicine Residency program. 

When not seeing patients, she enjoys family time with her husband & five beloved children.

Justine is a Licensed Esthetician in both Missouri & California with over seven years of experience. As an Esthetician Subject Matter Expert for the National Interstate Council (NIC), she contributes to the development of national licensure exams & maintains a strong foundation in the science of skincare.

She is passionate about educating clients on skin biology & ingredient science, creating treatments that blend relaxation with results. Her background also includes over two years as a Sales & Service Coordinator at Sephora, where she trained licensed beauty advisors & deepened her knowledge of professional skincare.

Outside the spa, Justine enjoys sailing, playing piano, & spending time with her daughter.

Taylor is a client-focused massage therapist who brings a calm, approachable, & easy-going presence to every session. He values clear communication, accountability, & takes constructive feedback as part of his commitment to growth, ensuring each massage is thoughtfully tailored to individual needs & goals.

Known for his genuine desire to help others feel their best, Taylor creates a relaxing & supportive environment where clients can fully unwind. His calming touch & attentive listening help make each experience both therapeutic & restorative.

Outside of the treatment room, Taylor is highly creative. He enjoys playing guitar & drums, has a passion for music, & loves expressing himself through drawing, painting, & photography. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife & gaming.
